Demo: Stop the violence.

Mit Sorge blicken wir auf die aktuellen Geschehnisse in Ghana, wo gerade eine schreckliche Gesetzgebung verabschiedet wurde, die sich gegen queeres Leben richtet. Nach dem Vorbild Uganda, dessen Regierung letztes Jahr bereits ein unmenschliches "Anti-Homosexuellen-Law" verabschiedete, zieht nun das nächste afrikanische Land Ghana nach. Und die Entwicklung wird hier nicht aufhören: auch andere Länder wie z.B. Kenia beraten aktuell über eine Verschärfung der rechtlichen Situation für queere Menschen.
PLUS e.V. und Divercity organisieren mit Unterstützung der Münchner Aidshilfe eine Demo am Sonntag, den 17.03., um 14 Uhr am Sendlinger Tor Platz. Dort werden queere Aktivist*innen aus aller Welt zu Wort kommen.
Wir freuen uns auf euer Kommen! Es ist Zeit, Solidarität für unsere ghanaischen Geschwister zu zeigen und ein klares Zeichen an die Regierungen der Welt zu senden: Die LGBTQ Community hält zusammen gegen eure unmenschliche Politik!

With concern, we look at the current events in Ghana, where a terrible law targeting queer life has just been passed. Following the example of Uganda, whose government passed an inhumane "Anti-Homosexuality Law" last year, the next African country to follow suit is Ghana. And the trend won't stop here: other countries like Kenya are currently considering tightening the legal situation for queer people. PLUS e.V. and Divercity, with the support of the Munich AIDS Foundation, are organizing a demonstration on Sunday, March 17th, at 2 p.m. at Sendlinger Tor Platz. Queer activists from all over the world will speak there. We look forward to your participation! It's time to show solidarity for our Ghanaian siblings and send a clear message to the governments of the world: the LGBTQ community stands united against your inhumane policies!
